Hi, my name is Mariana and I was born in Argentina from Italian ancestors, they used to call me Maia when I was a little girl, that's why I choose the name for my designs.

I lived in the US for about 20 years with my husband and 2 daughters (10 and 5) so I know what durable means for a necklace:), I have been designing my pieces for several years. I traveled to many countries in Europe, South America and North America from where I get many of my inspiration.

I studied Architecture, fashion design and decoration among other things but I finally found my passion designing and creating my unique pieces.

I started with store bought beads and then glass beads, but I wasn't 100% happy because I like to think out of the box, and couldn't find exaclty what I was looking for, that was when I found the polymer clay that I love to create my unique pieces with. It is a complicated and long process that takes time and patience, but I think it is worth it! I combine the stunning medallions and handcrafted beads (that I make) with crystals, freshwater pearls, silver, exotic wood and semi- precious stones to reach a unique piece that will match perfectly with an outfit and make it elegant, stunning or simply unique! I used to paint before my daughters were born.

Each piece of my jewelry is carefully handcrafted and unique. There is no way to make two exaclty the same.

My pins were featured in the Fashion Forward section of the Kansas City Star. I try to be every year with my jewelry at the Ethnic Enrichment Festival. I have been showcasing my pieces there for the last 3 years in the Brazilian booth, they say that it looks like the Brazilian stuff.

I love to custom design. My goal is that my customers enjoy wearing my pieces as much as I enjoy making them. Each piece is made with attention to detail and good quality. My pins and barrettes are all wired up instead of glued. I really make each piece with so much love that I want to see it for a long time! And I am not done with it until I am happy.
